Dunlap Builders is a general contracting company which focuses on residential projects. The company was started by Jim Dunlap in 1980 following the success of Merritt Co., his wood manufacturing operation. Jim has made and designed wood furniture and staircases for over 30 years. His passion for woodworking, and his foresight to see where markets were heading, led him to develop multiple successful businesses. Jim’s staff consists of field carpenters and laborers, office personnel, shop carpenters, and the master stair craftsman responsible for some of the staircases seen throughout this site.
